The purpose of this homework assignment is to prepare you for our Desert Adaptations lesson. We will be studying the process of adaptation, and how specific animals and plantsĀ are adapted forĀ  life in the desert. For our next class period, you are to choose an animal that lives in the desert and research it. Using the internet and your textbook, find information to answer the following questions:

1. What is your animal, and where (geographically) does it live?

2. What are some physical characteristics of your animal that help it survive in the desert? Explain how these features help it survive.

3. What are some behavioral characteristics of your animal that help it survive in the desert? Explain how these behaviors help it survive.

Prepare your answers along with a picture of your chosen animal to present to the class this Friday. Please email me if you have any questions!

On this site, you will find the class syllabus and policies, a calendar of class events and due dates, announcements, useful videos/materials, useful links, and much more! Please check this site regularly and message me if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions. Thanks!
